Book publishing for CEOs
Your book is an asset, a sales tool, a hiring magnet, and, a career highlight. Quartz Press publishes books for chief executives who expect theirs to do all four.
Book a Strategy CallWhy you should write your CEO book
You are almost certainly trying to solve some combination of the same five problems every CEO we work with brings to us:
- Authority. You want to be the person people listen to in your category, not just another operator with a LinkedIn profile.
- Deal flow. You want prospects to arrive already persuaded, so your sales cycles shorten and your premium pricing becomes defensible.
- Talent. You want the senior people who read your book, decide they want to work for you, and apply before a role is even posted.
- Stakeholder influence. You know boards, investors, regulators, and media treat published authors differently, and a book is the most efficient way to earn that treatment.
- Legacy. You want the one artefact that will outlast the company, the title, and the org chart.
The best CEO books do all five. The good ones do three. If your book does none of them, you are writing it for the wrong reason, and we will tell you so on the strategy call before we take a cent of your money.
The kind of book that will work for you
A few patterns show up again and again in the CEO books that land. A named framework that packages your thinking in a way your peers can quote. A Monday-morning chapter that makes your book actually useful, not just philosophical. Case studies from your business, told honestly enough that they do not read like marketing. And a narrative throughline that makes the reader feel they know you by the last page.
The wrong CEO book is an autobiography without lessons, a collection of leadership platitudes, or a thinly veiled company brochure. We will help you avoid all three, that decision work happens in the publishing strategy phase, long before the first chapter is drafted.
How we will work with you
You do not have 400 hours to write a book. We know that, and our entire process is built around the fact. Six to twelve hours of recorded interviews, handled in blocks that fit your calendar. We do the drafting, the structural work, the editorial, and the publishing workflow. You show up for the parts only you can do.
Most of our CEO books run on a nine to twelve-month timeline from kickoff to launch, with everything project-managed on our side. When the launch is over, we stay on through ongoing support, reprints, updated editions, the next book if there is one.
