Book publishing for Executives

Your book will do something different from a founder's or a CEO's. It will consolidate a career's worth of learning into a single asset that outlasts any role, any title, and any company. Quartz Press publishes books for senior executives who want that asset to do its job, and we would like yours to be one of them.

Why you should write your executive book

  • Reputation consolidation. Your book pulls twenty years of scattered insights into a single quotable artefact.
  • Board and advisory opportunities. As a published executive, you will get more board invitations, advisory briefs, and fellowship offers than unpublished peers. Your book is the easiest credential to offer.
  • Speaking circuit. Your book is the price of admission for paid keynote work. Without one, the honorarium stays low.
  • Transition planning. Whether you are nearing retirement, a second career, or a fractional role, you can use your book to reposition yourself for what comes next.
  • Mentoring at scale. The younger leaders you would love to mentor do not have the access you did. Your book is how you reach them.

The kind of book that will work for you

Your book will probably sit between framework and memoir. Your career is rich enough to anchor a narrative, but your reader is usually looking for takeaways they can apply in their own organisation tomorrow. The best executive books weave lessons through stories rather than delivering them as bullet points.

The trap for executive authors is writing a chronological career diary that nobody outside the company will care about. We will help you avoid it by starting with your reader and working backwards to the stories that earn their place in the book, that decision work happens in our publishing strategy phase, long before the first chapter is drafted.

How we will work with you

Your project will run nine to twelve months, like most executive books. We will schedule interview sessions around your board meetings and travel. Draft reviews happen asynchronously, with your ghostwriter doing the heavy lifting between sessions.

We will handle the positioning, writing, editing, design, publishing, and launch, and, if you want your voice in readers' ears as well as in their hands, audiobook production. You give us six to twelve hours of recorded interviews and a weekly review slot. Your book ships on a predictable timeline without derailing your day job.
